4. The Classic Years is an excellent, portable introduction to the challenging and singular work of jackconguilatachacawimisbicalci.xyzinfo's questionable as to why Chronicles opted to include her three vocal contributions to The Velvet Underground and Nico, however.

6. "The Classic Years" is an excellent compilation of Nico's best. It's a bit of a surprise to hear it open with the bouncy melody of the Gordon Lightfoot cover "I'm Not Saying," with Nico doing her best to keep up. Her thick vocals seem more appropriate in "The Last Mile," a stripped-down guitar jackconguilatachacawimisbicalci.xyzinfos:

7. Nico is still mostly remembered for her tambourine-shaking days in the Velvet Underground, though she departed after only one album, and began a long and excellent career as a solo singer. And her first solo album, "Chelsea Girl," is a perfect example of Nico's dark, heavy, haunting songs/5().

9. It was released in October by Verve Records, also home to the Velvet Underground. The name of the album is a reference to Andy Warhol 's film Chelsea Girls, in which Nico starred. The sixth track of the album (or first on Side B on vinyl) is titled " Chelsea Girls ".
